Removal: Remove the oil pan. Remove the pump-to-rear main bearing cap bolts. Lower the pump from the truck.
Installation: Pour clean oil into the pickup tube to prime the pump. Put the new pump in place (make sure hex-shaped driveshaft aligns with pump). Install & tighten bolts to 30lbs. Install oil pan & tighten bolts to 200 in. lbs.

This fuel pump is inside the fuel tank, the easiest way to get at it is to remove the bed.

What makes the fuel pump not kick on on a 92 Oldsmobile Cutlass

There is a red wire close to the battery in the front. It's not connected to anything. Apply positive voltage and that will run your pump for testing purposes.

Fuel pump wiring for aftermarket GM fuel pumps

When replacing fuel pumps in chevy or gmc trucks and suv's the aftermarket fuel pumps come with new plug and wire connectors. Which requires you to cut off the old pigtail and connect the new pigtail to the vehicles wiring, the reason the manufacturers of the new fuel pumps did this is to fix problems with the old style connector that was on the factory unit.

My son bought a fuel pump for his 96 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The difference between the new fuel pump and the old one is the old one has an additional nipple on the top. I do not know if the new pump wil

Your question was cut off, but I believe there\'s enough info to know what you\'re asking.

First, what engine does he have? The 4.0 L straight six or the 5.2 L V-8?

If the old pump has 2 fuel connections, one is for supply (pressure) and the other one is for return to tank. The new pump will have to have both of these nipples for the system to work properly.

Just to clarify,, is his old pump a 2-nipple one and the new one with only 1 nipple? Or is the old one a 3 nipple and the new one a 2-nipple?

Replaced fule pump, starts then dies

Check tank for anything that could be causing fuel to not reach fuel pump such as dirt or debris also old parts off of old fuel pump like one time I found an o-ring off old pump floating around and it would randomly get stuck in new pump and cause aloss of fuel pressure. also replace your fuel filter just for GP. Last if none of that works you can check for fuel at the fuel rail with a pressure gauge and check injectors with a noid light. hope it is something simple and this helps

I replace my 1994 Toyota 4 runner gas tank with a used gas tank filled it with gas now it wont start why?

Did you use the old fuel pump or was there one in the used fuel tank? If you did use the old fuel pump check your fuses and relays. If the used tank had a fuel pump already in it then the fuel pump may be bad.

I just changed fuel pump and filter in my 1999 chrysler town and country pump comes on for second then no power to pump

make sure that the old pump is likely close to new one, or see the socket of your pump may be your new one is loosen to couple of your old pump. or try to loose or remove your new fuel filter then switch at the ignition, if the fuel is continues running the problem is your fuel filter, try another new filter.

Aftermarket fuel pump failure? Try "thepartsladi" store on eBay for low price GM OEM parts. Could also be wiring harness to fuel pump.

How do I replace the fuel pump

You must remove the fuel tank in order to replace the fuel pump. Drain the tank of as much fuel as possible with a hand pump. Disconnect the positive + battery cable. Disconnect the fuel lines and the electrical connections. Remove the fuel tank, and then remove the old pump. Clean off any old gasket and then reinstall the new pump. Reinstall the tank and then replace the fuel filter. A partially clogged fuel filter will cause a pump to fail prematurely.
