Ford fiesta - air bag light keeps coming up. wats up with it?

It is a function of the BCM

Principles of Operation

The Battery Junction Box (BJB) supplies the switched and control voltage to the horn relay (part of the Body Control Module (BCM)). When the driver air bag module is pressed, the horn switch (which is integrated into the driver air bag module) is closed and ground is supplied to the BCM which is routed through the clockspring. The horn relay then energizes, sending voltage to the horn, enabling the horn to sound.

you meant to say you hot wired the horn, in your hand removed proving hord is ok.
but fail to post the full symtoms of car.
what do you expect from car.
is it an alarm question
horn button dead question.
or what?
leave the air bags to PROS, or get hurt !!!
do not fiddle them or messabout them.
start over and tell the full story , like.
i want to drive my car, and i turn the key and bla bla.
not mid wild diagnostic path, .

most common problem with this is the connections under the seats(yellow plugs) with the car off pull them apart and get some electronic cleaning spray(radio shack) spray the and make sure they are connected and not loose.

it may be the sensor is playing up as a few fords have that problem with their airbag sensors. but the best thing to do is to take it to a certified mechanic and have them test it. preferably with a scan tool. a ford dealership would have one of these.

Hole in supply line or bad air bag spring shop will help you on this too

Common fault on FORD
Usually due to a poor connection in the YELLOW PLASTIC CONNECTOR underneath the passenger seat.


Just push it together properly and it should clear the AirBag fault

take it to a scrapyard and recycle it,and buy a nice small VW diesel or ford fiesta and stop pollouting the planet ,not forgetting the bicycle rack on the back for town use ,easy parking with bicycle.Leaking air bags or a faulty non return valve,first option the best
