More than likley it is bad and needs to be replaced, but you could try to clean it. Sometimes they get carbon deposits stuck in them keeping them from closing or opening.
Try cleaning it up with some wd-40 if slitt having problem replace
Yeah, i had this issue too & I believe i changed the EGR valve but it came on again. If I remember correctly, i disconnected the battery & let it sit for awhile and that reset the 'brain', it's been awhile. usually those codes are accurate. One thing though, it's pretty common on a lot of makes, especially the Suzuki to throw a code if the gas cap didn't get seated properly.
