Replaced Bank 1-Sensor 1, check engine light came back on, now I'm getting 10 mpg, black smoke when I get on it. Ran diagnostics at AutoZone; 6 codes;(1) p0131, (1) p0171, (2) p0300, (2)p0455, checked the gas cap on the 455 code and the seal is good, the manager there said it was probably a vacuum leak. What is a safe & easy way to find the leak, and is this a common occurence?

Check your wiring make sure it is in the correct firing sequence! p0300 means misfire! p0131 means O2 sensor is not working properly.

P0441 & P1441 will be back , may take a day or two , but will be back because gas cap has nothing to do with it .

Possible causes
- Faulty Rear Heated Oxygen Sensor Bank 1
- Rear Heated Oxygen Sensor Bank 1 harness is open or shorted
- Rear Heated Oxygen Sensor Bank 1 circuit poor electrical connection
- Exhaust gas leaks Help with this
When is the code detected?
The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) detected the HO2S12 sensor has reported a lean condition for an extended period during an intrusive test
Symptoms
- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
- High Fuel Consumption
- Excessive Smoke from Exhaust
P2270 Description
The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) supplies a voltage of about 450 mV between the HO2S high and low signal circuits. The oxygen sensor varies the voltage over a range from about 1,000 mV when the exhaust is rich, down through about 10 mV when the exhaust is lean.
The PCM monitors and stores the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) voltage information. The PCMevaluates the HO2S voltage samples in order to determine the amount of time the HO2S voltage was out of range. The PCM compares the stored HO2S voltage samples taken within each sample period and determines if majority of the samples are out of the operating range.

Try resetting the codes by removing both terminals on the battery for 10 minutes. After the codes should be rest if they do not come back on the sensors are fine.

2007 Toyota sienna V6 P2197 code from Autozone diagnostic.

Solved. I have 2008 Sienna with Check Engine and VSC lights on. Scanned codes were P0051 and P2197. Oxygen Sensor Bank 2 Sensor 1 needs to be replaced. You can see this sensor on the right side of the engine when you open up the hood. You need to get an Oxygen Sensor socket (I used Tekton 7/8in 22mm which costs $9) and a wrench extension to reach it. Spraying liquid wrench a few times on the base of the old sensor also helped to loose it. The replacement sensor I used was Denso 234-9049 which costs $85 from eBay. Lights went off after the sensor was replaced. It took me 30 minutes to replace.

Cavalier blowing out black smoke car idles fairly well considerin

Black smoke is usually unburned fuel. P0171 reads bank 1 system too lean. There isn't one answer. You need to dig further and inspect your cars fuel system, from the pump to the injectors. Because of the mileage you may want to start off with a compression test just to see where you stand with the motor. write back if you have any other questions.
