Hyunday santa fe leaking transmission oil and shut down while driving.

Hello, Hyundai sante fe 2007 3.3 liter v6 since last few days had some problems with hyundai santa fe. First of all, it shut down completely while driving and could not start it right away. When trying to start engine would run and shut down right away. When keep giving gas it kept running until took feet from the pedal. After about an hour car starts like normal and is running fine. Drove it home and made some extra more miles then in the morning, nothing happened. scanned the car and only error it gave was gear 3 incorrect ratio. Mecanic also has no idea why the car shut down and could not find a thing. Coming to the gear error, found a leak underneath. But can not find the right name of the parts in between where it is leaking. I added some photos to show the leak location. https://ibb.co/3k7xSsh https://ibb.co/7JZNgNL Could anyone tell me what is the name of the seal i have to replace?

I had found that there is a recall on this problem..What it is hyundai had put the abs ans traction control together, and if the tires start to spin the abs kicks in and helps get traction..Here is the problem.. when the brakes pads get wet there is alittle slip of rotor and pad which causes the light to come on,also when applying the brake at low speeds...What I had done was get the best rotors and pads, and that is helping

Diagram for reconnecting vacuum lines on 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe

Nancy, There should be a vacuum hose diagram under the hood of your Sante Fe, either on the underside of hood or on the radiator support. Contact the dealer and they can print it off for you also.
Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

I have a 2007 Santa Fe 2.7 liter automatic . is the transmission fluid change just a drain and fill?

First, have you reached the limit of milleage recommended by Hyundai maintenance schedule?
If not, do you have any indication that your tranny oil is bad: color, odour...?
If not wait until the maintenance is due.

To answer your question, my guess is that you don't have a draining plug meaning that the tranny oil pan has to be unbolted and removed (very dirty job if you're not on a lift or don't have an appropriate oil recuperation setup) Internal filter have to be replaced by the same time.
Correct pan sealing and torquing is mandatory to avoid leak.
Follow Hyundai recommendations about oil type to be used.
Hope it will help

TRANSMISION OIL TYPE!

You need to use Hyundai Diamond ATF SP-II M or any fluid which lists compatible. I recommend Hyundai brand fluid but aftermarket is ok. The listing would be on the bottle. Do no use Dextron / Mercon fluids.
