I have a 99 camry the went dead and i tried to jump it the horn blows good the head lights comes on but when i turn the key it says nothing the dash lights doesnt come on its like its not getting any power

The first thing is to check your fuse block. Hopefully you will have manual to show where the dash light and ignition fuses are. You said the car went dead, was the battery replaced or run down? When you jumped it did it turn over better or not at all? Remember if the battery was run down, something did that before you jumped the car. And if you had a problem the battery was the victim and not the source. You still have to fix the problem.

There could be several reasons for your problem:

  1. Check your connections for tightness and corrosion. A corroded battery cable/post will diminish the current going to the dead battery.
  2. Check jumper connections
  3. Dead battery; the worse off the battery is, the more time it will take to charge the battery sufficiently enough to start the car; a completely dead battery with bad cells will never recharge sufficiently enough to hold a charge and start the car on a regular basis
Hope this answers your question. Best of luck.

Dash dead ,turn key nothing happens,no click, battery good, ignition switch is new, starter turns over when jumped with screwdriver,lights,horn,acc.work.

It there is a problem with the dash, there is probably no power to the anti theft module in your ignition. The car is in anti theft mode due to not being able to read your key transponder. Basically if it cant read the key, it thinks its being stolen. Either fix the dash lights, or fully bypass the security. All the security info you need is on here including how to bypass it.

I have a 99 camry the battery went dead and i jumped it the lights come on but its not getting no power to the egnition no dash lights no fire

If your battery 'went dead' your probably have had a battery problem for awhile. Put in a new battery AND make sure the alternator is putting out 14-15volts. You can do this yourself. Buy or borrow a voltmeter-or DVOM-connect the black to the neg, and the red to the pos. while its running and make sure you have the 14-15 volts. Anything under this voltage is probably and indication that your alternator is needed also.

1991 Toyota Camry Won't crank, dash dead, no lights

I HAD SAME PROBLEM SOLVER OF MY MOMS 1996 CAMRY ABOUT HORN GOING OFF AND CAR WOULDN'T CRANK. JUMPED IT OFF AFTER A FEWW FRANTIC MOMENTS OF HORN HONKING-- FOUND OU IT WAS AN ALARM THING AND YOU CAN SHUT IT OFF BY TURNING IGNITION KEY TO ON POSITION AND MOVING TOGGLE SWITCH AT DRIVER KICK PANEL TO OVERIDE THE HONKING HORN PROBLEM--STILL NOT SURE WHAT CAUSED IT TO DO THIS AT BEGINNING. BATTERY WAS FULLY CHARGED AND HEADLIGHTS REAL BRIGHT TOO. COULD HAVE BEEN A DOORLOCK MANUAL MALFUNCTION--BEEN OK FOR A WEEK NOW.
