Fixya is not a repair shop --check fuses and switch if failed order and replace or have a repair shop do it
This could be the switch contacts inside are dirty or burnt take it apart and clean it is it both mirrors or just one side there are fuses for this also and a relay for power accessories check all is anything else not working?
SOURCE: I can't figure out how to remove the toggle from the door panel for the drivers side door mirror.
You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. Then you'll need to remove the cover just beside the mirror and you should be able to get to the cables
SOURCE: ford bantam handbrake adjustment
remove the back brake drums ,slacken handbrake cable then run a mini grinder around the lip on the edge of the drum .Then adjust the auto adjusters manully so when the drum is push on it just goes on ,tap with a hammer all around the drum to level the shoes and if need be adjust up a bit more ,then when finished re-adjust the cable so you have three notches on handbrake lever
SOURCE: The drivers side mirror adjusts
You will probably need that side mirror as the motor has failed. The motor in the mirror will control both directions, but sometimes loses the ability to control either up/down or in/out. Check the other side if it also doesn't adjust side to side I'd then suspect the mirror switch.

Use contact cleaner and clean the contacs on the switch. They are probably black with carbon buildup or dirt.
You rotate the know either left or right to control either the left or right mirror.
