I have the same issue. I have tried turning the car to on, push the gas pedal 3 times fully within 5 seconds, and turn the key to lock. Turn the car back on and the check oil light comes back.
Try to press the gas pedal 4 times and hold it down on the 4th wait for the light to flash and go out. then start the car with your foot off the accellerator pedal. I hope this helps.

Worked Just like you said to do so in the steps !!! Thanx ! Usually I just have to press the gas pedal 5 times with the key in the on postion but your solution worked alot better and faster !!!! Thanx Again Roy!!!

Key on to run, gas pedal to the floor three times, and wait til light flashes (then i think it stops) then key off. Try this!

Hi my name is mike ! if your getting a check oil light it is diffrent than your change oil light ,the change oil light on alot GM's is the 3 gas pedals to the floor ,but the check oil is somthing diffrent ,you may have a oil level sensor acting up or a problem in your cluster .hope this helps !
