SOURCE: 1995 dodge ram 1500 4wd, vacuum line

you sure its not the breather tube for the t-case. about 3/8 hose if it is. the vacuum lines for the 4x4 are small plastic lines. red, blue, yellow, etc. think there are four of them

SOURCE: 99 dodge ram interior lights wont come on

I had the same problem and could not understand why I THOUGHT I checked all the fuses, but there is a fuse on the drivers side which is covered by a black thing (no idea why). It is listed as IOD or something. If you lift the black thing up and remove the fuse you will notice it is blown. Replace this and all will be well again.

SOURCE: what does the p1391 code

check engine light and code P1391 crank or cam position sensor

The above can cause rough idle on the Dodge Ram 1500 5.2L V8 Engine.

Can try to replace the sensor, but verify that the wires are ok first.

SOURCE: 1998 dodge Ram 1500 4X4. The heater/AC blows out

In the engine compartment, locate black vacuum hose that runs from brake booster check valve to intake manifold, there will be a small vacuum hose attached to check valve at the power brake booster check valve. This is the vacuum line going to the heater control unit, check the hose all the way to the firewall, repair any leaks you find. And that should take care of your problem.......GOOD LUCK

You have broken doors in your HVAC housing. This is a common problem with the older body style Rams. Does require moving the dash, but it's a fairly simple process.

Pistol09pete,

It sounds like you have a problem with the vacuum lines that travel from the transfer case (these should be color coded lines that are green, red, and black). Goodluck

1998 dodge Ram 1500 4X4. The heater/AC blows out of defrost vents only, I am told this most likely a vacuum line, If this is true where is the vacuum line located.

No heat to cab in 96 dodge ram, will defrost.

you might have a vacuum leak, ck the vacuum line to the firewall where the a/c lines are at and make sure a check valve is in it also.

2001 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup, the AC vents change from front to defrost vendor intermittently, it seems to be a vacuum problem as letting go of the accelerator will correct the problem, any ideas the fault...

Check for a colasped vacuum line or boken one, under hood,Also there may be a vacuum reservoir with a vacuum line going to this reservoir and one coming out going to the inside of the cab.Check all these vacuums. If you can`t find a problem with a vacuum line, replace them anyway, because you most likely have one with a hole in it you can not see.If there is no reservoir, then look for a vacuum check valve near the firewall, passengers side under windsheild. The check valve could be busted,or cracked. If I can help any let me [email protected]
