SOURCE: I am repairing a wrecked
I have the wiring from two front ends of a Mazda 3 that are different. I'm looking for the diagram to match the good car. There are 3 connections. What info do you need?
SOURCE: identifying the different fluid cotainers
brake: high on drivers side firewall, pic at "http://www.autozone.com/shopping/repairGuide.htm?pageId=0900c15280039d30" cylinder between #'s 2 and 4. clear to light purple liquid (do NOT get on the paint job!) it will melt paint!
clutch: near the brake reservoir above and between #'s 3 and 4 at: "http://www.autozone.com/shopping/repairGuide.htm?pageId=0900c15280039b4a" usually clear to pale yellow fluid.
power steering: front of vehicle usually on drivers side pic at: "http://www.autozone.com/shopping/repairGuide.htm?pageId=0900c15280039c45" follow # 8 toward front of engine. usually medium red color fluid.
SOURCE: where is the power steering container located.
The power steering pump is a CB-series, vane-type positive displacement pump with an integral fluid reservoir. A pressure relief valve limits maximum system pressure, and is located inside the flow control valve in the pump housing; the relief valve is not serviced separately. The power steering pump is driven by the engine via an automatically tensioned drive belt.
Just Fallow the Belt and Look for the ONLY Component that Has A Cap on it

SOURCE: I just had my transmission replaced in a 2001
there is no connection between the rack and the transmission of any kind, that is not to say it wasn't damaged during the repair though.
SOURCE: how do you add power steering fluid at a mazda rx8
Ignore earlier post - the RX-8 has an electric power assisted steering system - there are no hydraulics, and therefore no PAS fluid.
