SOURCE: How do I change the brake master cylinder on a

disconnect the front and rear brake lines, undo bolts holding the master cylinder to the brake booster. Bench bleed the new master and reconnect to booster and reconnect lines. Be very careful when undoing the lines from the master cyclinder as you do not want to damage them. Soak with WD-40 before loosening. Once everything is back in place you will need to bleed all calipers and/or wheel cylinders. Again soak the bleeder screws beforehand with WD-40 as they break off easily.

1995 dodge dakota will not time properly

Still sounds like it jumped time. I was taught to time without a light. Advance the timing while running until it sounds its best and then back down maybe a quarter turn. Drive to see how the power is. If its better, its a temp. fix to belt replacement. Just to be safe check the compression on the cylinders first. Make sure you didn't bend a valve. Good luck.

04 dakota automatic transmission gets stuck in overdrive

Sounds like either the lock up converter or solenoid that operates it is "going away" Which trans is in it? I've had a similar problem (just the thump) In an aw4 trans in a Jeep, which I've isolated to those two components but it's too damn cold out to do anything about it yet!!! If the converter is staying locked, vehicle will be sluggish on starts from standstill when this is happening.
