SOURCE: fuse placement

fuse #7 is the brake lamp fuse. It also operates the rear antilock brakes and the buzzers.

SOURCE: slave cylinder is it on inside of gear box or outside TDi 4

2001 reg the slave cylinder is inside the bell housing of the gearbox which means the gearbox needs to be removed not an easy diy job

SOURCE: 2001 Ford F150 Extended Cab Cruise Control does not work

Have you check your truck for the Cruise control recall that ford haves for this year of a truck. I own a 2001 Ford Expedition and they re-place a wiring harness on the top right of my Engine, close to the firewall. It have a fuse in line with it. The re-call stated that the cruise control can star a fire in the Engine if the wire's get to hot. So maybe your wire's already meted and are stopping the power from traveling to the unit.

your post I GUESS, means the whole car works great end to end and engine runs but the transmission fails. as most do now 1998
me playing fast and loose with century.
no miles on car told (odometer)
but most are bad this old for 100 reasons inside it
A/T boxes love to fail that is there THING.
but we check fuses.
and scan the PCM/TCM.
it must be scanned. (OBD2 tool) or as the service manual tells you you how to do that 1996 to 2000 cars some have flash codes
only for the transmission (USA car)
Gen 2 Explorer
the wiki list gen 2 boxes
as you can see there are 3 boxes used that
USA cars only
5-speed M5OD-R1 manual (4.0 L OHV)<<< NO !
5-speed M5OD-R1HD (2001-2003 Explorer Sport)
4-speed 4R55E automatic (4.0 L 1995-1996)
4-speed 4R70W automatic (V8 models) (special ratios)
5-speed 5R55E automatic (4.0 L 1997-2001)

so as you can see the engine dictates the box and not told.
and the 55E is TCM electronics controlled
same with 70w
so must be scanned or guess 100 times or more.

Need to know the fuse # for a 2001 Ford F 150 Supercab

I wasn't sure if you were talking about the acual fuse box/panel inside the truck or the power distribution box/fuse box located in the engine compartment so I gave you diagram of both fuse layouts (see Below). This should be in your owners manual if you have one. Ford f-150 5.4 v8 where do you find the fuse for battery charging for trailer application

Inside engine compartment on the driverside I believe, it's located inside the box and the fuse will be idetnified on the inside of the cover.

ABS fuse locations

There are a total of 5 fuses for brake and abs functions 3 in central fuse box on the drivers side inside truck fuse #9 - 7.5 amp fuse #10 - 10 amp and fuse #11 - 7.5 amp then there are 2 big fuses under the hood in the main battery fuse box next to the battery fuse # 6 - 50 amp and fuse # 28 - 30 amp
