Where are the fog light connectors located in a 2006 gmc canyon? I want to install stock fog lights as my canyon didn't come from the factory with them. I have found one of the wiring connectors, but can't find the second one. Any idea where it might be located?
It should be "hanging loose" but cable-tied somewhere behind the bumper near the foglight location. If your PU didn't come with factory installed fog lights then you will need to replace your headlight switch with a fog light enabled headlight switch.
Here is a link to the factory dealer-installed instructions.....
You only need to get the components you don't already have. The headlight switch that is fog enabled will pull out for fog light operation, if yous doesn't you need to replace the switch and do some wiring as shown in the pdf file linked above.
Reach behind the fog light from under the vehicle and grab the connector on the back of the light housing. Twist it 1/8 turn counterclockwise and remove the bulb. Remove the power connector on the back of the bulb. Install new bulb and reinsert it into the housing. Give it a short twist to lock it in position.
if the eng light is the ignition one it shows the generator isnt working, if its the oil light which means low oil pressure on a diesel engine the light can be the fuel cut off solinoid
