SOURCE: replacing the battery in a 2001 mercedes benz

Battery base has a device that clamps the battery on a step/notch on the side. Use a ratchet with an extension to loosen. Once it is loose you can remove the battery.

Check the underside of your hood for a belt diagram. If it's not there, call your dealer with your VIN number to get the correct diagram.

Where is fuel pump relay on 2001 Mercedes S430

Most fuel-pump relay units are located under the dashboard near the steering column. In some cases, the unit is located in the area where the steering column is mounted or near the engine's firewall. The end of the fuel pump relay is typically located near the center of the floorboard, under the carpet in the front section of the passenger's or driver's side footwell.

How to remove clock spring on mercedes c 240. Steering wheel has been removed and 3 mounting screws on the clock spring itself. It wont come out of the column. Please help been stuck for hours.

There is one screw that you need to remove from the bottom side of the column. The screw is a torx. Loosen the screw several turns until it feels loose. It will not come all the way out since it is held by the cover on the column. Then pull the whole steering control module off complete with all the levers still attached. Once removed flip over to access the screws that hold the clock spring in place.

MI STEERING COLUMN IS NOT MOVING

There is a rubber dogbone connector that hooks between steering column adjuster and motor mechanism. This piece is broken. It should be replaced by a trained technician due to the complexity of removing part of the underdash panel, steering column, and instrument cluster.
