Solution #1 is not correct.. reason, why engine does not start when those codes are shown, is pump control unit (PCU), or electromagnetic valve. You should give PCU to fix (mostly it's broken transistor inside) or to change you current PCU to the new (need to be programed) or buy whole new VP44 PSG5 pump.

no fixes available you may take it to a diesel pump specialist shop for cheap ideas as it may be a simple shaft seal or re-tensioning of bolts for the cap If you are looking at "any old vehicle " as a fixed trade in value, then leaking diesel would not be a problem, it is going to scrapped after you sign the deal

the inspection for a shock absorber is a jounce. 1.5 reaction. inspect the mountings and look for any damage. leakage. noise. if they are oem parts and 20 years old its up to your own discretion whether new ones will have the attributes you seek. bilstein seems to be the recommended part

Certainly check for a sticking throttle and idle air valve if fitted. If nothing is found it could need the engine management defaults restoring. Sometimes disconnecting the battery for a few hours or overnight will reset things and sometimes diagnostic equipment with the right software is needed.

Is this the dome lamp you are talking about? If so, check the settings on the overhead control panel and look at all of the switches in the door jambs to make sure they are not broken

At first 1994 C280 high beams began to not connect regularly when stick pushed forward, then not at all. Drove high beams by pulling and holding stick back towards steering wheel until that stopped working, too. Shop said the turn signal switch was at fault-- had seen it many times before with W202; about $160 to replace. Haven't done it yet, but should be an easy fix?
