Check the fuse's first. If you changed the battery there is a chance you shorted it to ground and may have blown some fuses. Do this first.

Hi. If the pressure can build up but doesn't hold when the car is off and doesn't leak air, check your air relive valve for debris or electrical problem. Try switch it with other side. If the problem go with switched valve - replace if not you may have an electrical problem with it.

Hello! I have a s500 2001Benz and our battery keep dying overnight why is this..

You have an excessive power drain from some electric component in the car and it is draining the battery power rapidly. That is, assuming you have a sound battery that is holding its charge. You need to have some tests run to identify the source of the drain and rectify it. You will need to either have Mercedes do this or a competent auto electrician who is familiar with Mercedes systems. The battery will not last very long if it is being constantly discharged like this due to the excessive power drain. Furthermore, if the battery is old and on the way out it will not hold its charge for very long even if there is no excessive power drain. When the car is idle and everything is in working order, there are still systems on the car that drain a small amount of power constantly so you still need a sound well charged battery.

My 2001 Mercedes S500 was recently rear-ended and the instrument panel no longer lights up nor do the gauges or my steering wheel controls work. What could this be?

The wiring in the back part of the car could be torn apart and affecting the other circuits. Suggest you trace out all the wiring in the back 1/2 of the car to ensure all wiring is grounded and wires are not broken /sheared contacting each other or metal. Then check all the fuses in all the fuse boxes -- pull them and inspect each one. Then check the fusible links I the engine bay. and then the battery and cable connections

On my 2001 Mercedes s500,

yes if a recon backstreet alternator is used ,fit a genuine bosch factory exchange unit ,try disconnecting the battery and see if it still goes flat as usual cause is the diode pack in the alternator backfeeding to earth ,hence the bosch unit ,failing which go into the power distribution box and disconnect each circuit in turn to try to find the dran ,most cases it a boot light staying on ,another favourite is a boom boom amplifier staying on ,you know a boy racer big amp in the boot .alicantecoli_17.pngalicantecoli_18.png
