Remote starters have a feature that keeps staring the car every 15 minutes or as set up, this feature is used for cold weather or to keep old battery charged.

2007 jeep wrangler will not start put in a new battery and a new alternator, still will not start lights come on just wont turn over.

by your description, it sounds like you may have a starter problem. The main wire from the battery may be loose on the starter end.as well. If you do any off roading this would be typical as well as corrosion. There is an ignition relay as well, and a fuse for the ignition. This I believe may be under the hood in a plastic box. I would check fuses first, then have a look at the starter and wires. Starters are known to go without warning. If this jeep is a manual transmission, I would try to start it by coasting and catching it in gear. If the jeep starts, it is in the starter,or wiring. Ground wire included. if not, the problem lies elsewhere. keep me posted

2008 jeep wrangler, sometimes when I try to start, it will click but not start. I keep trying and finally it will start. replaced the battery and had the starter checked. what else should I try

it sounds like the starter is going out even though it may have checked out ok it still could have a bad spot in it also check all your connections. Also when it does this put a test light on the signal wire at the starter (the small wire) and make sure your getting power there when the key is in start position. If there is power but no start you got a bad starter provided you got battery power to the starter too

I can't start my 1995 Wrangler. I have had the battery and the starter checked, both are good. My book mentions a "remote start relay", but doesn't tellme where it isor what it does,...

When you turn the ignition to start, the current going from the ignition switch to the starter actually goes to energize a relay which then sends full battery power to the starter solenoid to spin the starter. If that starter relay is bad, it will not "relay" the full battery power to the starter and the starter will not crank.

2000 jeep wrangler - starts and then will die while driving. Battery replaced, starter replaced, alternator checks out okay. Could it be the solenoid?

The solenoid causes the starter to engage when the ignition switch is turned to start. If the car starts, the solenoid is probably okay.

Sounds more like a fuel delivery problem.

2008 wrangler x with 3.8 v6 32,000 miles just purchased driven home 750 miles then parked in garage a half hour later tried to start it but wont crank just a slight click, lights work gages work, radio...

Sounds like the starter. You can try several things but the main idea is to start it to be able to bring it to a mechanic. Disconnect the battery and push on the brake pedal. This will drain the power from the vehicle. Reconnect the battery and try to start the car. The theory behind this is the starter solenoid could be stuck energized. You can also locate the starter slightly tap on the starter and then try to start the vehicle. Also if the vehicle has sacked for some time before you purchased it the battery may not have the cranking amps necessary to start the vehicle. The electrical gizmos will work but it will not be enough to crank the engine. Check the battery is fully charged and possibly try to hook up jumper cables to another vehicle or a jump start Appliance.

To Determine were it is, Pull Fuses out 1 by 1 Watching Light puting Fuse back in When you Pull a Fuse that turns the Test light off you found the Circuit that is Draining the Battery if it is A Circuit that Remote Starter is Connect to refer to Installer to Correct the Problem

NOTE TEST Light Connected this way and Electrical System in Tact Light WILL NOT BE LIT at ALL

1998 Jeep Wrangler hard starting when engine hot

I know that a lot of starters will not start quickly and draw a lot of power if the engine is up to temp. Try a higher CCA battery (Cold Cranking Amp) Battery, your bat may be to low of a rating. If it has a remotely mounted solenoid, not on the starter. If it does it may be mounted somewhere that it gets to hot, relocate to a cooler portion of the engine bay.
