Check the ASD relay , auto shut down relay in the under hood fuse / relay box . The ASD relay supplies B+ voltage to the injectors an ignition coils plus other thing's ! This may be you device voltage code problem as well as the other codes

Checked all fuses OK. Installed new crank senor. Still no spark. .or injector pulse. Really stumped. .tracked all wiring checking for breaks. .nothing.

Also have power to one side on each coil pack

  • Jeff Armer May 09, 2016

If you have power on one side of the coil ,then your missing the control side . The PCM - engine computer controls the coils by supplying a ground . Probably the same for injectors .If you do have B+ voltage on the dark green with a lite green stripe that's good , so is the ASD relay . But bad news the PCM is not grounding or controlling the coils or injectors . Could be a bad PCM or no power or grounds for the PCM .Go here to look at a wiring diagramhttp://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html free wiring diagrams . Also go on youtube an check out videos on trouble shooting ignition systems .https://youtu.be/01kxE1gMgio?list=PLAFYV...

Well figured out my problem. The garage that installed the engine put a 2008 2.7 magmiun engine in a 2001 dodge intrepid and used the intrepid fly wheel.which had different timing marks. Their for the cam sensor and crank senor are not timed

There are a couple of videos on youtube ,about Chrysler , dodge ,jeep engine swaps cam sensor trigger wheel problems . different then the original .https://youtu.be/b6I-eXb34yk

My 2002 3.6 Dodge intrepid won't start after changing battery and driving 15 miles

Make sure battery has a full charge and battery connections all good. If it cranks good but won't start, have a helper crank it while you check for spark at the plugs. If spark everywhere, use a gage and check proper fuel. Also, check fuel injector pulse. Do testing with engine cranking.
Any applicable trouble codes?
Sometimes when battery voltage is lost some modules may have a problem, including your security system, but, you said you have already driven it. Your charging system work ok?

2001 dodge 2500 turns over and has spark but wont start

Do you have enough fuel pressure at the rail ?
Can you make it catch if you spray starter fluid in the throttle body ?
Are the injectors getting voltage and a ground pulse from the computer ? ?

2000 Dodge Grand Caravan only have two injectors pulsing?

I would check the wiring harness for the injectors

Should have 12 volts with key on-- to all injectors, same
as the ignition coils

Ignition or Injectors are turned on by PCM Drivers

Do not put any voltage to injectors they are pulsed

My 1998 Dodge Intrepid is starting & then stalling only after a few seconds. The engine light came on, & the code was P1391. Any ideas?

That code is indicating an intermittant crank shaft or cam shaft sensor fault. Because the engine is starting then stalling, check to see if you have spark after the stall. If spark is still present, you are probobley looking at a cam sensor circuit issue. The cam sensor controls the fuel injector pulse. If the cam sensor fails on a chrysler product, the fuel injectors will not function.

I have a 2001 Explorer Sport Trak and it don't want to start. We have checked all the sensors (crankshaft, cam trigger, fuel pump pressre is 65). What is the tank fuel pressure sensor voltage reading. ...

The first thing to check would be spark. This can be done by connecting a spark plug tester to a plug wire while the engine is cranking. The tester must be grounded to the engine block for a good electrical connection.. Your fuel pump pressure is OK.
The problem should be electrical so check
1. No voltage to the fuel injectors (blown injector fuse or bad relay)
2. No pulse signal to the injectors from the PCM (no crank or cam sensor input to the PCM, or a bad driver circuit in the PCM, or a wiring harness problem)
3. A shorted fuel injector (robs voltage from the other injectors so none will operate)

Engine light is on...

P0137--O2 Sensor Circuit Low Voltage-Bank 1 Sensor 2

P0139--O2 Sensor Circuit Slow Response-Bank 1 Sensor 2

P0152--O2 Sensor Circuit High Voltage-Bank 2 Sensor 1

P0300--Random Multiple Cylinder Misfire

I would suspect that the camshaft position sensor is bad. This is a quote from the tech manual:

The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) uses the camshaft position sensor to manage sequential fuel injection and as part of misfire diagnosis. The PCM constantly monitors the number of pulses on the signal circuit. The PCM compares the number of camshaft sensor reference pulses and the number of crankshaft position sensor reference pulses received. If the PCM receives an incorrect number of pulses, Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) should be stored in the PCM. Some PCM systems will then default to multi-port or "gang-fire" injector operation. The camshaft position sensor signal is required to sequence the injector operation to the proper cylinder timing. If the camshaft position sensor or circuit is faulty, most engines will start. However, the PCM misfire diagnostic will likely be affected.

The part costs $50.....simple to change. It is NOT the O2 sensors so don't go wasting money on those. They are being affected due to related symptoms....they fault because the problem is happening upstream.

1996 Dodge Intrepid with a 3.3L engine that won't run!!!

great you got it running... who would have dreamed someone would have filled the car with the wrong gas. E85 has alcohol in it. it will dry out and decay certain plastic and rubber type parts in the fuel system if the car was not made for this type fuel.
