Have a 2006 jeep liberty that idles up and down and can die. However with the air in cab completely off it idles and runs fine. The air being on is the trigger. Any thoughts to how I can fix this?

Try cleaning the throttle body and throttle plate. Next is the idle air control passage, pintle and seat. If all that fails, look for vacuum leaks which can be crucial at idle where fuel is light and any leak will cause a lean mixture and stalling, especially with AC on and the vehicle in drive usually.

The idle air control valve (IAC) is designed to increase the idle speed when the AC compressor kicks in to prevent the engine from slowing to stall RPM. It also keeps the engine from run-on or dieseling when the car is shut off.

SOURCE: 2003 jeep liberty air bag light on is it easy to fix

The system needs to be checked for cades. Airbag codes are pulled out of the ECU with the use of a scanner tool. A good auto mechanic shop will have this or you can go to the dealer. YOU SHOULD NOT TRY TO REPAIR THIS YOURSELF,YOU COULD ACTIVATE THE AIRBAG!!!!!

SOURCE: my 2003 jeep liberty's air conditioner blows hot

Probably, to be sure make sure the compressor is coming on. With the engine running turn on the ac and watch the rpms, they should drop for a second if the compressor is coming on. If so you just need to recharge, the refrigerant is R-134a, which you can get from your local parts store along with the kit needed to charge it. The kit will come with detailed instructions and is a pretty easy job.

My cooling fan on a 2006 Jeep liberty 3.7L runs slow. You can even stop it while engine is running. Is this normal or do I have a problem?

Probably not.
The fan clutch uses oil to regulate the speed of the fan depending on air temp.
The hotter the air the faster it should turn. The faster the engine speed the slower it turns.
At idle in normal air temp it should be too firm to stop with your hand, which is pretty dangerous by the way.

I have a 2006 jeep liberty with a p0016 code i have replaced the cam sensor and still have an engine light. it idles fine adn runs fine, but cuts out at 3500 rpm

This code refers to Crankshaft sensor primarily, and camshaft secondarily, but both need to work together, and either one may cause the light to come on. I'd clean and check all connectors to both first and inspect wires for any bad spots, and if none found, replace Crankshaft sensor. Without putting it on a scope and checking pattern, your kind of limited to replacement to cure it.

2002 Jeep Liberty - 3.7 Liter - Engine has begun to die when rpm is at or near idle. Such as pulling into a parking place or stopped at traffic light. More frequent after engine has warmed. Once engine...

I would start with cleaning the throttle bore and plate. Then clean the Idle Air Control valve, IAC, as this is the device that controls idle speed. Use a can of spray carb cleaner and an old toothbrush. Trouble with the IAC would make sense if you can keep the engine going by holding down the gas pedal a bit.
Use the carb cleaner to check for vacuum leaks at hose connections and elbows. run engine and spray short bursts at hoses and listen for idle speed changes.
And lastly if problem is still there check MAP sensor.

2002 Jeep Liberty 2WD 377l v6 won't idle when first started up.

it doesn't have to do with the battery. I just had this same problem. Clean the carbon out of the IAC and test to see if this solves the problem. Should it not, the next step is to replace the Throttle Position Sensor. This is a common problem with this model of jeep. The can of cleaner and the sensor only cost 45 bucks, and about an hour total to do.
