Have your battery tested. It might have a bad cell causing it to not have enough "COLD" amps of cranking power.

89 toyota pickup starts easily but immediately dies

try messing with your idle air if its carbuerated. tighten them down snug (both gas and air or just air depending on vehcile) then turn them 1 1/2 turns each then try starting it. keep doing this until your truck either starts up or you reach the end of the screw. hope this helps oh, and dont crank down on the screws you really dont wanna mess it up.

Engine dies at 150 degrees.

sounds like its not accident related, more like a idle air control motor or something of that nature, ive also herd of this happening when the crank sensor is going bad, it warms up and starts missing the signal.

Cold Start Idle Issue

Problem might be the air control valve, it's located at the right side rear of intake manifold and has a hose going to the air intake duct from the air cleaner, as a test you might try pinching off that hose when the idle is a problem.
