How do I Reset the limp mode wit temperature icon

Limp Mode is activated for the most serious faults that can REALLY damage your engine catastrophically. It gives you the opportunity to limp to a garage.

It can be reset with a pro grade scan tool which also tells you WHY Limp Mode was activated.

the limp mode will not allow you to accelerate until you have fixed the problem and reset the ECM
Limp modes are not there to help ease you frustrations but to prevent costly repairs to the engine and transmission
fix it , reset it then you will have no need to go nuts

You can't reset the limp home mode, you must take it to the dealer and find out why the computer control is asking for limp to be engaged.

check the oil level in the sump, coolant level, coolant temperature (overheating), transmission oil level if auto. The limp mode is energised by any number of sensors that register a fault that is detrimental to the engine/ gear box. Run the fault codes and repair any faulty units . Reset the CPU with a scanner .

limp mode means something is broken, with
PCM or TCM. (bad sensors or actuators)
resetting PCM.
1: press reset on scan tool.
2: pull memory fuse to ECU.
3: pull battery neg lug and radio bricks and need to do relearn modes. on many things.

if the problem remains, resetting it does nothing, it come back fast.

limp mode is when the ECM reduces power in the engine to prevent damage to the engine and gear box. It allows you to get the car to a position of safety to check items like oil and coolant levels and temperature .Run fault codes to find the cause of the limp mode

Bad battery, or bad ground. If thats not it put a code reader on it while its running in limp mode and see what she says.

Limp mode can be reset as eaily as shutting off the car and restarting it. the computer will then retest the system, if the problem is gone you will not go into limp mode. but if the problem is still evident, you will have to have it repaired before it will work properly.

check the serpentine belt and all vacuum lines and also all fuel lines also there might be a problem with sensors

You will have to have the fault codes read and removed. If it is permanently in limp mode it may suggest another problem.
