Hi,

Please use a picture of the sensor while searching for under the front hood. If you can't find it, please ask for a wiring diagram (should list name of all elements in hood) in order to use and help find the speed sensor location.

Thank you.

Location of transmission sencor??

The input an output speed sensors are located in the front of the transmission (the side facing the radiator). The input speed sensor is the one right below the rubber transmission cooler lines. the out put speed sensor looks exactly the same and is located more toward the drivers side of the transmission.

If you looking for a different sensor let me know. Thank you for using FixYa.com!

Need to see where the speed sensor is located on engine

Hello and welcome to FixYa!

The speed sensor is located on the transmission itself. You can access it from the engine bay going down. Remove the connector then remove the speed sensor. The speed sensor has spiral gearing, it can be worn out that's why it's not working.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

2005 ToyotaCamry fault code P0500 Vehicle Speed sensor Malfuction

They are not the sensors you want. The car uses the abs wheel sensors for vehicle speed. Your problem lies in the abs system , possibly the left front sensor, abs ecu or speedo cluster, Clear the code and see if it stay out otherwise you'll need to go to a trusted technician. .
