SOURCE: engine misses on#5 cylinder i have already changed

not uncommon to have bad injector plugs can fire all day but if #5 injector doesnt give it anything to fire you will have a miss but first i can,t stress the importance of using die electric grease on those coil packs and booties i have found alot of problematic misses to end up being repaired by a little die electric grease

Fix miss fix miss fiers

There are frequent problems with the parts you already replaced. The crank sensor and cam sensor can affect firing. Check intake for vacuum leaks with a water spray. Also look at front passenger water jacket on intake, subject to decay and will spray water vapor on plugs.

Dead miss on one cylinder 99 sl2

A quick way to check the single coil pack if you know for sure which cylinder is miss firing and its setting a code you can swap the coil pack to another cylinder and see if the miss changes from one cylinder to another. If it travels to where you moved the coil then the coil is bad,if not you have other problems.

Cylinder 1 misfire dodge stratus 2006

if you have a cylinder #1 misfire it could be one of several things. It could be a faulty spark plug, faulty ignition coil, faulty injector or worst case, bad compression in that cylinder. The most likely problem is probably a faulty ignition coil for that cylinder

One way to test that is to swap that coil to another cylinder and see if the miss goes to the other cylinder. If it does then problem solved. Replace that coil

Miss fiers multipul times durring drive check engine light has been on constant the van was pluged in at the dealership the reading was cyl 2 miss fire

Misfires are not very hard to deal with. The good thing is that you know what cylinder the misfire is coming from. Try removing the spark plug from that cylinder and see what condition its in. If you have not replaced the plugs in a long time then its time to do a spark plug change. Another cause related to that misfire is it continues is the coil itself. The biggest misconception with check engine lights is that most people think that it will pin point the problem. It does not pin point the area, they just give you a general idea in where to start looking for the problem. Having that said, check the coil and determine if its good or bad by checking the voltage. If all that fails then you might want to check the injector for that cylinder.

Hope this Helps!

MISFIRE ON CYLINDER 4 AND 6 WITH AN ENGINE LIGHT ON

Check the coil packs on the plug if equipped with that type, or the coil packs at the end of the spark plug wires, if so equipped.

Also, check that the fuel injectors are firing on all 8 cylinders.

Definitely, check out what other codes are stored in the computer besides a missing condition.

I have a 1999 Expedition that had a miss on a cylinder, and it turned out to be a bad coil pack. You have 2 cylinders missing, so I would check each cylinder for good spark, or replace the coil packs as necessary to see if that resolves the problem.

Good luck on this repair.
