97 don't have carb that year its TBI injection . Inspect/fuelpump relay/pressurereg.switch/pump/filter
SOURCE: 95 blazer with vortec spark is fine fuel is not
you have to put a guage on it to find out the pressure it may kick on but not enough pressure
SOURCE: '95 blazer wheres my fuel filter?
The fuel filter is on the drivers side in the frame rails just forward of the transmission cross frame. You can re move it with simple tools, the filter is held to the frame by a plastic mount that is also mounted to the frame. The filter mounts also secure two more lines which un clips when the mount is off the frame.
It's easier if you loosen the fuel line first with the fuel filter mounted to the frame. NO special tools to disconnect the fuel line's.
Good luck and keep me posted.
SOURCE: Runs fine till warms up then losses power and dies
My 05 silverado 5.3v8 was stalling dead when it reach a temp of 170-200 degrees and wont start until cold and do the same thing till warm. I changed fuel pump, crank sensor, bought a cam sensor also. It turned out to be a disconnected single ground wire that runs under the power steering and connects to main ground on bottom front. Now engine runs fine. I changed power steering a couple of times and must have wore it loose.

Check the electronics in the distributor. Chevs are notorious for the electronics going bad inside of the distributor.
