As they work on friction you may be able to
compress the material on the outside which will then give the inside more grip.
Put a cloth around the top of the visor to protect the material and use Mole grips with the half circle jaws or pliers of the same construction grips to squeeze the area around where the rod enters the visor

Other option is a wreckers yard?

hi most visors are screwed to fix at the pivot end and then covered the screws/bolts ? by a clip on plastic cover which is removed using a flat s/driver gently

they should have that at your local dealer or ebay.i hope this will help,have a wonderfull holiday.

My driver side sun visor was broke too wouldn't stay up, You can buy new from dealer, or at a junk yard, all you do is pull visor down and unplug connection, plug new one in.

Take it to the dealer there is a recall for the visors I had the same problem
