Only happened today.....the boot door will not stay open, the arms don't seem to be doing anything? How do I resolve this please

It’s probably the door latch on that door

you must have either broke a plastic clip at the lock area look good or one of the little arms came off look good you will find hte problem .bothe doors , did you brake a wire ? look good

I had the same situation today. The rest of my car was open but the keys were locked in the boot. Fortunately, using a long, hooked rod, a nice man was able to fish the keys out from inside the car. Just above the back seats, the plastic is soft and flappy. You can squeeze tools in and out through there (and an arm at a push) and try to fish the keys out. I hope this helps other Peugeot owners.

Hi.. On your Fusion the dome light will stay on
If the Body cumputer detect any door open,
This happen when the Door Ajar Switch when bad.
The Body computer Don't receive the signal of the switch.
After 11 Minutes The Body will turn off the Light .
With a system Called Battery Saver.
The Alarm system will not work right.
I recomend Try to do Computer Diagnostic.
To find wich Ajar switch is bad and have replace it

Is there a release catch behind the panel in the boot of the vehicle? Some have a emergency release switch behind the panel.... Hope this helps...

seems like your car had flat battery open the boot by key blade and jump the battery or connect battery charger in it when you do that be careful don't mix up the connection.

Same thing happened on my Focus. I suspected dirt had been preventing the boot from fully locking. A generous application of WD40 on the locking mechanism located on the boot seems to have resolved the problem.

You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. You can then pull off the weather seal and access the insides of the door. You can the access the regulator, motor

My wife had a mid 80's capri and the latch/release button was on the drivers side door pillar at the back of the door near the bottom of the pillar, the door had to be open to see it, there was a second one that we only found when selling the car on the bottom of the drivers side door arm rest. Not sure if that helps as yours is newer but it might give you a couple of more places to start. On my son's Mercury Topaz you have to open the glovebox and push a semi=concealed button on the right..Those lovely engineers at Ford! lol...

happened in my 1997 dodge avenger, go ahead and replace the complete turn signal behind the plastic on the columb, very easy to do, 3 screws under the columb, 2 screws on the black plastic side of the turnsignal swithch facing the drivers side door, unplug, put in new or one out of junk yard, thats what i did and it fixed no problem...
