Too much air can be caused by binding throttle cable/linkage try disconnecting it. Next would be cold air bypass that lets extra air in for cold weather and initial startup. It would be located on the throttle body
with 2 wires that operate a solenoid. These become gummed up and can be cleaned with carburetor cleaner. Next the EGR valve on the intake manifold could be leaking. Check for cracks or leaks and sometimes the base it mounts to is plastic and wears out. Lastly is the dreaded vacuum leak. There are so many places and hoses to check that I would need to see for myself. The larger hose can go to power booster for brakes. Intake manifold gasket can also leak due to worn gasket.

You either have an intake manifold leak, a defective trottle position sensor or a stuck idle speed control valve.

bad to worn out oil pump or excessive oil passage clearances that allowing more oil to pass thru them at a lower pressure due to the bigger opening. It can be a sign of an emminant engine failure due to oil starvation.

2007 4.8l Vortec. Why doesn't high idle relearn throttle idle?

You have too many zeros in your description - 25,000 revs and you would be picking up engine bits from half a mile away...

600 rpm in park and presumably revving up to 2500 when a gear is selected isn't the fault of an idle air valve (or the throttle positioning motor) but is the result of commands sent by the management system.
Restoring factory defaults should restart the self learning process and disconnecting the battery for a few hours (overnight) might restore the defaults but it might need dealer level diagnostic equipment.

My revs go up around 500 when I turn my park lights on is this normal

No this is not normal. Your alternator is not providing enough current for the load on the electrical system at idle RPM. The main computer is revving up the engine to compensate for the increased load. I would have your dealer or local mechanic inspect your alternator as soon as possible.

It is also plausible that the ECM itself is malfunctioning but that is highly unlikely.

1999 Lincoln Continental 4.6 32v engine...idles smooth in park & in gear. In park I get a engine miss when revved to 4000rpm. Also seem/feels like I have a miss at lower engine speed when being driven....

hello, i first must ask why that engine would EVER be reved to 4000 RPM? it is likely you are up against the rev-limiter and your ignition is made not to over rev. be very careful....4000 RPM on that engine could/will severly damage your tourque convertor........very expensive it is common for the EGR passages on that model to plug up with carbon, remove valve, clean ports, and retest for low speed miss/hesitation, good luck....marty

07 pacifica 3.8 eng. with 4 speed At low rpm's 1200 to 2000 it shudders and has a jerky feeling. It runs great at 70 mph at 2200 rpm and has good floor board acceleration . 4 dealers fail to acknowledge...

Well there is a rev limiter built into the pcm on your car. It is much lower rpm's in park and neutral. When u hit the rev limit of a particular gear selection, the pcm starts cutting out the injectors(fuel). This is normal. As far as the jerky feeling, the only thing I know of is a service bulletin that may apply to your car. It involves a revised torque converter for the transmission. It would only apply if your feeling this at speeds of approx 35 mph or higher when the torque converter lockup engages after a shift. Ask your dealer about a possible tsb for this if you think this may sound like your problem or search for tsb's(technical service bulletin's) yourself on the internet.
