SOURCE: I need the torque specs and sequence on a 1998 chevy 350 vortec

Vortecs are a little different that old school small blocks, grab a Haynes or Chiltons, the cross patterns and specs are simply diagramed. Vortec, as any really, start with 25# then 45# and then final torque which I believe is around 70-75# but to be sure verify with the manual. AutoZones, Murry's, Adavance auto all carry the books, Cheap insurance.

2014 Chevy Spark intake manifold torque sequence and torque specs

The 2014 Chevy Spark intake manifold torque sequence and torque specs depend on the engine type. Here are the torque specs and sequence for each engine type:
1.0L Engine:
  • Step 1: Tighten the bolts to 44 inch-pounds (5 Nm).
  • Step 2: Tighten the bolts to 89 inch-pounds (10 Nm).
  • Step 3: Tighten the bolts to 18 lb-ft (25 Nm).
Torque sequence: 8 4 1 5 9 7 3 2 6 10
1.2L Engine:
  • Step 1: Tighten the bolts to 44 inch-pounds (5 Nm).
  • Step 2: Tighten the bolts to 89 inch-pounds (10 Nm).
  • Step 3: Tighten the bolts to 18 lb-ft (25 Nm).
Torque sequence: 8 4 1 5 9 7 3 2 6 10
It's important to follow the torque sequence and torque specs carefully to ensure that the intake manifold is properly secured and sealed. Over-tightening or under-tightening the bolts can cause leaks or damage to the engine.

Hi, 2014 Silverado 4.3, I need head cyl. Bolts torque spec

The torque specification for the cylinder head bolts on a 2014 Chevy Silverado 4.3L V6 engine is as follows:
Step 1: Tighten the cylinder head bolts in sequence to 70 Nm (52 ft-lbs) Step 2: Tighten the cylinder head bolts in sequence to an additional 90 degrees
It's important to note that these torque specifications are for the cylinder head bolts only and not the other fasteners on the engine. It is also important to use the correct tools and torque sequence when tightening the cylinder head bolts, as specified in the vehicle service manual.
It's also important to use new bolts or bolts that are in good condition, if you are reusing old bolts they might have lost some of their strength and torque value, which might lead to problems.
It's important to follow the manufacturer's instructions and if you have any doubts or don't have the right tools, it's best to take your vehicle to a professional mechanic.

  • Clean the cylinder head bolts, apply sealer to the threads, and hand-tighten.
  • Tighten the cylinder head bolts:
    1. M11 cylinder head bolts first pass in sequence to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.).
    2. M11 cylinder head bolts second pass in sequence + 90 degrees.
    3. M11 cylinder head bolts (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) + 90 degrees
    4. M11 cylinder head bolts (9 and 10) + 50 degrees
    5. M8 cylinder head bolts (11,12,13,14,15) to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.). Begin with the center bolt (11) and alternating side-to-side, work outward tightening all of the bolts.
NOTE The cylinder head gasket displacement can be verified by markings visible on the underside of the right gasket locating tab. Some 4.8/5.3L head gaskets may have 53 stamped onto the locating tab. Some 6.0L head gaskets may have 60 stamped onto the locating tab.
