I have a 1988 GMC 3500 and the dash lights do not work. In addition when I turn on the running lights the digital lighting for the a/c - heat display go out. I hav checked all the fuses and they are fine.

The Flasheris located: Front seating area, driver side, under dash, below steering column, mounted in relay block

Try looking for a fuse box under the dash on the left drivers sidewall

for nothing on the dash to work ,it indicates that a ground wire is missing, broken or the ground point is rusted
Could be the BCM unit so run the fault codes as well

wiring harness ground faulty or engine ground strap possible

Some Chevrolets have two fuse panels. One under the engine hood,and another in the side of the dash or under back seat...check this,and if so,recheck those fuses acording to the diagram on the lid. 2nd....check for short to fuse panels...good luck

You blew a fuse. Check the in cab and engine compartment fuse box and replace burnt fuses. It's possible that you have too many lights on the trailer. This would cause a multiple amp draw on the truck pulling more power than the typical 10-25amp fuse supplied for trailers.

It seems you have a sort circuit in the wiring or the switch......

normally you have 2 types of shorts, 1 is to earth and this causes the fuse to blow, indicating a fault and preventing a fire.

The second one is a short to power, where the circuit remains on, despite the switch being turned off.

I would suggest that the park light switch is shorting out.

If you are not familiar with electronics, I would prefer you seek an auto electrician to do the job.

sounds like an injector problem, you can check the spray pattern with a timing light, there should be no drips visible,

check the fuse and maybe adjust the rod coming to the switch youdoit.com
