Yes, you will have to remove console and trim cover to find it. Install lighter back in console first than connect wires back up and re-install console.

The problem is I can't find where to plug the piece into. It is a small red and black plastic piece with a little clip to lock it into place somewhere. Where do I plug it in???

It isn't the wires connected to the outlet. Those are connected to both outlets. It is the single wire that plugs in further back into the consol somewhere.

Then you will have to drop the knee panel and remove the trim panel from around the center console and find the connector. It should be in lower right side to upper mid level where knee panel and console trim panel meet.

2014 nissan murano 12v power outlet at Center console and Cargo Area not working.

The fuse for the console outlets is a 20 amp fuse #33 in the fuse block. There is a relay involved and a 10 amp fuse for the control side of this relay. It, the fuse, is #19 in the fuse block. Check both fuses as either can make the circuit not function.

How do I find where to plug in the wire going to both of my 12v center consol outlets?

is there power to the two outlets ? if there is check if the spare wire's are positive and negative , if they are they are extra wires to be able to hard wire a component so it is constantly connected , something that you would not want to remove from the vehicle , as it is red/black it does suggest that it should be constant power (powered when ignition off) ,as with all manufacturers there will be wire's/connectors that are not used on every model , as they try to use the same looms on many model types to save costs etc ,hope this is helpfull

I can't get power to my lighter and 12v plug up front in my 2005 kia sedona

remove the socket and check the connections, then test with a test light top see if you have power there, disconnection is the most common problem.

2011 VW Jetta TDI I want to know which fuse goes with the power outlet in the front console.

Hello. Both of my 12v outlets went out @ the same time on my 2011 Jetta TDI. Our dealership wanted us to bring it in to have it fixed. I decided to do some research and Pepboys came to the rescue. They printed me a fuse box diagram and a list of what goes w/ what fuse. Fuse location #30 is connected to the 12 v . It is a light yellow 20Amp fuse. It cost 4 dollars for 2 fuses and solved the problem.
