They vary. Most Yukons and Tahoes had standard 6" (or 5-3/4") front door woofers and 1" tweeters in panels on the door switch clusters in 2-door models, and in 4-door models, those plus an additional pair of 6" (or 5-3/4") 2-way speakers in the back passenger doors, and in 2- and 4-door models with the premium sound package, they also had 4X10 oval speakers in the rear roof by the cargo door(s). These 4X10's were 3-way speakers.

SOURCE: factory speakers sizes

If you go onto the Crutchfield .com web site and click on their link - "outfit my car" it will list your factory speakers. The site will ask for info regarding your particular vehicle: 2 door, 4 door, with bose system, etc. The speaker sizes may be the same for all options. You can find out by clicking on all the options to compare.

Hi there:
Spark plugs that you buy, should be pre-gapped for this application... 0.60 is the factory gap

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

My gmc yukon sound only comes out the front left speaker

Hello my name is Israel and I will try to help. Assuming that the radio is a factory installed radio, I would try to get an extra speaker and go to each speaker location to check if you have "power" going to each speaker. It could be that the speakers have gone out. If the radio is after market you could do the same, plus also check the connections behind the stereo to be sure that they are secure. Good luck.

Can you put a newer radio in a 2001 yukon

Hi, my research indicates you can install a single din aftermarket head unit in the 2001 Yukon.
A couple of good websites to use are crutchfield and modifiedlife.
Crutchfields will identify exactly what adapters are needed, and modified life has the factory wire colors.
You will need an adapter to fill the space between the aftermarket stereo and the hole left by removing the factory head unit.
You will also need an antenna plug adapter.
I recommend you buy the wire harness pigtail to simplify the installation--this may or may not include the antenna plug adapter.
If you have onstar, you will need an additional adapter.
If you have steering wheel controls, you will need another adapter to keep those.
Keep the above things in mind when selecting a new aftermarket stereo, as you will need one that is compatible with steering wheel controls and onstar, if you have either of those and want them to continue to work with the new stereo.
Crutchfield has an link called "outfit my car" that takes you through a "Turbo tax" style questionaire and tells you what will work and what you will need. here is the link: http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Car/outfitmycar/MyCar.aspx

Assuming you have a base Yukon, here are your factory wire colors from modifiedlife.com:

97 yukon 4wd. Jerks and makes noise like its

Hi amberdawn_84

My 97 yukon did the same thing (I believe). The valve body in the transmisson wears out (design problem) and causes the transmission to shift really hard. My repair was about $500 (nondealer).
LOVE MY YUKON!
