Code p2196 Car driving rough, got this code from autozone

Which engine is fitted and which O2 sensors did you change? If yours is the V6 there will be 4 O2 sensors fitted, one before the catalytic converter and one after it on Both sides. The P2196 and P2198 codes refer to the Upstream sensors which are the ones nearest the engine, (before the catalytic converter). After changing the sensors and there is no change to the codes, work back from there checking the air And fuel systems. Is the vehicle doing anything else? Hard to start? Uneven idle? Running rough? Lack of power? These can give other clues to the source of the issue.

That is a strange issue, and this is the only thing I can find.

The code P2196 indicates that there is too much fuel in relation to the oxygen in your vehicle, or that the oxygen sensor is faulty and reading an incorrect air/fuel ratio, thats your engine is running rough.
Engine code P0113 could be caused by a number of things, including a bad sensor or faulty wiring.
This trouble code points to the oxygen sensor, it's natural to want to replace it and move on. However, you must first inspect the wiring and the sensor to ensure.

codes p2196 and p2198 refer to the oxygen sensors
p2196 is the HO2s sensor 1 bank 1--signal stuck rich or no signal===causes HO2s --fuel pressure --injectors ---air intake restricted---wiring ---ECM
for p2198 it is HO2S 1 bank 2 --signal stuck rich===causes --same as for p2196

What seems to be the problem with the car, other than the codes?

Car runs rough and dies.The issue indicates fuel pressure problem.But as you mentioned check engine light comes ON.The check engine light comes ON when the cars computer (the ECU) notices any kind of electrical problem in car. Once the problem gets confirmed the engine light will remain permanently ON till the problem gets solved. In this case I suggest you to get your car scanned at autozone service center. It's absolutely free. In case in car scanning, if any error code is retrieved then you can check which part is faulty as per the error code. O2 bank one is the up stream O2 sensor on the passenger side. You access it from under the suv and through the wheel well. Its a very tight area.

if you mean a P2196 that means that the H0211 (front O2 bank 1) is NOT switching

you'll need to use a DVOM and see if it is lean or rich

better yet... a scan tool to check fuel trims

could just be a defective O2 but too many variables just to guess
