One day the front brakes just started to lock up so we changed the brake pads, rotor, caliper, barrings and the hoses and it worked for 2 weeks fine. then the other day it started doing it again. so we bled the brakes right there in the middle of the rd and it started working fine again. But yesterday it happed again so we tried to bled the brake again and now the brakes won't pump up. so i have no brakes at all.

This sounds like the master cylinder has a problem with the check valves these are internal in the master cylinder. After removal of the master cylinder check to see if the rod coming out of power brake unit is threaded it may be to long and holding residual pressure in the lines keeping the front brakes applied. Testing for residual pressure is easy drive until locks up just turn bleeder screw without touching brake pedal if fluid sprays out fluid is not returning to master cylinder. good luck.

Brakes keep locking up after a short distance. Dr

check that the callipers are free to self centre on the slides .
replace the master cylinder
check that the master cylinder reservoir is not over full
the problem is that the hot expanding fluid has no where to go to expand so it applies the brakes.

How can i unlock abs on my 2001 dodge grande caravan which has locked my right rear wheel

Drum or disk rear brakes? Have you checked the brakes to see if they a o.k.? Is the ebrake stuck and holding the brake on? The abs will not keep a wheel from turning. Since ABS stands for ANTI-LOCK Brake System it would not make sense for the system to "lock" up the brakes since it is designed to keep the brakes from locking up. Your problem is mechanical or hydraulic. A quick inspection of the brake components should reveal the problem.

Brakes keep locking up

Your e-brake cable is causing this, happened to me,my driver side e-cable was bad causing that side to lock up,messed up my drum. You must replace the e-cable.There's a hole on inside plate, maybe with a rubber plug, you can remove plug and get flat head screw driver and put in hole and push star screw to take pressure off brake, but it will keep locking up till you replace e-cable.check your drum to see if brake shoe ate into it,if so replace the other side one to.This problem will cause you u-joint to go bad,did mine.

The pasnger side back keeps locking up when i put the brake on i have changed drums brakes springs cylinder it will lock up then un lock over and over the adjuster keeps adjusting to tight by its self what...

Hi:) Make sure the brake shoes are on the wright side the short shoe goes on the front part of the backing plate and make sure the emergency brakes are loose enough. They are what adjust the brakes (pulling and releasing the brakes adjust the brake slack while backing up) so check the springs and cable for proper installation.

Front left brake keeps locking up

i suspect that you have a bad caliper which is sticking. look there first, and always replace both if on the front, since murphy's law usually applies. thats where 60% of your stopping power comes from. the anti lock system won't normally cause the problem you describe, but a bad caliper will. make sure the rotors are ok as well.

one of the brake sensors are telling the computer there is a problem. you'll have to take it to a shop to have it dianosed. the brakes will keep working, but you just won't have anti lock.
