Fuel volume control circuit

Lack in power when trying to excelerate .When iI get the car up to forty the car wont shift gears . when i floor it it just bogs out , i would have to pump on the gas pedal so it could shift . when i get to 80 mph it wont go any faster ,even if i pump on the gas pedal it wont shift. The code reader said it was a (P0001 fuel vol regulator control circuit open) I dont know where to find it or how to fix it .

There are several possible causes for this symptom. Your regulator is integrated to the fuel pump inside the fuel tank. Unless the problem is in the wiring, the pump will probably need replacing. A mechanic can check the wiring for you or you can check yourself with an ohmmeter.

Have you done a tune lately on the car?
I would also suspect a fuel pump problem is you've done a tune up recently.

SOURCE: 1997 Hyundai Elantra codes P1128,

Hi, the trouble codes P1128, P0455 and P0707 is a summary of all the problems your are currently experiencing with the car and each code will be explained in details below...

P0455 This indicates a fuel vapor leak or lack of purge flow in the EVAP control system. It means a large leak has been detected. The (EVAP) emission control system prevents the escape of fuel vapors from a vehicle's fuel system. Fuel vapors are routed by hoses to a charcoal canister for storage. Later, when the engine is running a purge control valve opens allowing intake vacuum to siphon the fuel vapors into the engine.

A loose or improperly affixed gas cap
A non-conforming gas cap (i.e. not factory/original brand)
Other leak or damaged piece in EVAP system

P0707 The park/neutral position (PNP) switch includes a transmission range switch. The transmission range switch detects the selector lever position when the shift lever is in the N or P shift position and sends a signal to the Transmission Control Module (TCM).

- Open or short park/neutral position switch circuit
- Poor park/neutral position switch circuit connection
- Misadjusted park/neutral position switch
- Park/neutral position switch may be faulty

Code P1128 is a lean condition code. The engine computer may be reducing boost to protect itself. Assuming the parts you have replaced are in good working condition I would check the fuel pressure (pump failing?) check the oxygen sensors (switching throughout full range?) and check the operation of the fuel injectors (not spraying correctly).

2009 Cadillac DTS gears won't go into gear shifter won't shift into gear

Something wrong with the shift lock system maybe. Safety system that won't allow the gear selector to move from park unless the driver is pushing the brake pedal . Do your brake light's work ? Does your caddy have floor or column shift ?
Automatic Transmission Shift Lock Control Description and Operation (Floor Shift)
The automatic transmission shift lock control system is a safety device that prevents an inadvertent shift out of PARK when the engine is running. The driver must press the brake pedal before moving the shift lever out of the PARK position. The system consists of the following components:
• The automatic transmission shift lock solenoid (serviced as the automatic transmission shift lock actuator), as well as the body control module (BCM) and the engine control module (ECM).The shift lock solenoid is located within the floor shift control assembly with vehicles equipped with floor shift.
• The BCM controls the voltage supply circuit of the shift lock control solenoid. The following conditions must be before the BCM will supply voltage to the shift lock control solenoid.
The BCM controls the voltage to the shift lock control solenoid through the shift lock control solenoid controlled voltage circuit. The following conditions must be met before the BCM will supply voltage to the shift lock solenoid:
• The ignition is in the ON position.
• The ECM sends an input via GMLAN serial data to the BCM indicating the transmission is in the PARK position.
• The BCM determines the brake pedal is applied according the brake pedal position.
Since the shift lock control solenoid is permanently grounded, the BCM supplies voltage to the automatic transmission shift lock control solenoid, mechanically unlocking the shift lever allowing the driver to move the shift lever out of the PARK position as the solenoid energizes. When the brake pedal is not applied, the BCM turns the control voltage output of the shift lock control solenoid OFF, de-energizing the shift lock control solenoid. The de-energized solenoid mechanically locks the shift lever in the PARK position.
During remote start operation, the BCM will de-energize the shift lock control circuit, locking the shift lever in the PARK position.

My 2007 Lincoln MKZ gear shifter is getting stuck in park and comes out after trying a little while, not every time but its increasing more and more.

On your vehicle there is a shifter interlock system ,it's a safety feature . Doesn't allow shifter to be put into gear if your foot isn't on the brake pedal .

The car wont excelerate and i know all is fine with everything except a sensor and i knowits not the o2 sensor whats the other one called?

If you have a bad sensor, it should store a trouble code in the onboard diagnostic computer. Have it scanned for codes to narrow the problem down. There is no point to guessing. if no scanner then most auto parts store will scan for free. advanced auto, auto zone, etc. check to be sure fuel filter is not plugging up. maf sensor symtoms, poor running, stalling, check engine light should be on. lack of power, spark knock/detonation, buck/****, hesitation on acceleration, also hard shifts. check fuel filter first !! if you need more info. just let me know.

I have no gears forward or reverse. My Vehicle is a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 Hemi with 170,000 on the clock. Fluid is clean and full with no leaks. I have the following trouble codes:...

Your scanner will give you the code but it will not tell you how to fix your vehicle. Scanners basically tell you what systems to check or what systems are failing.

These are what your codes mean:

P0700: Transmission Control Module
- Shorted or open circuit within transmission control module (TCM)
- Failure of transaxle control module. This is just a informative code.

P0734: Gear ratio error in 4th gear
- Low transmission fluid level
- Dirty transmission fluid
- Shift solenoids
- Transmission mechanical problems
- Transmission hydraulic control circuit

P0732: Gear ratio error in 2nd gear
- Low transmission fluid level
- Dirty transmission fluid
- Shift solenoids
- Transmission mechanical problems
- Transmission hydraulic control circuit

P0731: Gear ratio error in 1st gear
- Low transmission fluid level
- Dirty transmission fluid
- Shift solenoids
- Transmission mechanical problems
- Transmission hydraulic control circuit

P0871: Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor Switch C

P0876: Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor Switch D

Emissions Codes:

P0400: Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Malfunction
- Harness or connectors (EGR volume control valve circuit is open or shorted.)
- EGR volume control valve stuck closed
- EGR volume control solenoid valve
- Dead (Weak) battery
- EGR temperature sensor and circuit
- EGR Valve

How to fix :
- Clean EGR Valve
- Repair EGR harness or connector
- Replaced EGR volume control solenoid valve
- Replaced EGR volume control valve

P0440: EVAP Emission Control System Malfunction
- Missing Fuel cap
- Incorrect fuel filler cap used
- Fuel filler cap remains open or fails to close
- Foreign matter caught in fuel filler cap
- Incorrect fuel tank vacuum relief valve

How to fix:
- Retight or replaced fuel tank filler cap
- Replaced damage or leaking EVAP canister

P0456: EVAP Control System Leak Detected (Very Small Leak)
- Missing Fuel cap
- Incorrect fuel filler cap used
- Fuel filler cap remains open or fails to close
- Foreign matter caught in fuel filler cap
- Incorrect fuel tank vacuum relief valve

How to fix:
- Retight or replaced fuel tank filler cap
- Replaced damage or leaking EVAP canister

P0441: EVAP Emission Control System Incorrect Purge
- Missing Fuel cap
- Incorrect fuel filler cap used
- Fuel filler cap remains open or fails to close
- Foreign matter caught in fuel filler cap
- Incorrect fuel tank vacuum relief valve

How to fix:
- Retight or replaced fuel tank filler cap
- Replaced damage or leaking EVAP canister

Based on the info check your EVAP system. I would check for leaks and maybe replace the EGR and the canister.

For the transmission check the TCM also you may need to take it to a mechanic though.

Hope this helps a little.

Trans on my 1999 3500 silverado is shifting late wont go into overdrive till 62 mph could it be the speed censor & where is it

Hi, the late shift, and late overdrive issue may not be trans. related, if you need to feather the accelerator to achieve your shifts, and you have a late sift, or loss of power, you may have a restricted fuel filter. The lack of fuel volume can result in what feels like a trans. issue, but in actuality, you are starving the engine for fuel. I would check this first, as it is an easy, cheap possibility. Good luck...Coop

My transmission wont shift properly rpm goes up too high

sounds like the clutches are slipping or you have a bad seal in tranny, which wont allow it to keep pressure. have you changed the fluid and filter?
