Hi.... Sounds as if you could have a loose starter motor! you need to get under the vehicle to make sure that the starter is in place first... If ok then possibly the flywheel gear or the starter pinoin could be worn causing the noise that you hear but this would not be related to stalling at lights....
This is a tough one to solve without hearing it myself. There are several things which will make noise, its the stalling that matters. I will give you 4 that can stall a car and make noise.
1.Traction control cutting off airflow to engine.
2.Automatic ride control pump pulling down alternator.
3.A/C pump locking up.
4.Bad Alternator
5.Bad fan clutch or water pump
You should go to Autozone or Oreillys for a free scan of your cars computer.
mcdevito75 here, Sounds as though you have a worn or broken timeing belt, or problem with -in the ignition system of the engine. Have the shop check it out for you.
This sounds like you may be fighting more than one problem at a time.
First, I would replace the main relay (often located near the fuse panel under the dash).
Next, I would check all battery connections and even though the battery is relatively new, you probably should have it load tested.

I would suggest checking your wiring (core wire on the distributor, plug wires and the negative battery ground) I would imagine that the forward motion of the vehicle is possibly making your wires lose connectivity and making the car stall. Just a thought though.
