2003 Toyota Sienna - Need to replace left rear brake light

Hi -
I just replaced my left rear brake light on my 2005 Sienna. I followed the manual directions and removed the two metal bolts from the tail light cover. However the assembly did not come off. I could open it a little and it appeared to be bolted from the inside. I looked online but didn't find an answer. I had already gotten pulled over and I didn't want to go to the dealer so I pulled on the assembly a little harder applying even pressure to the top and the bottom and it popped loose. I didn't yank it. There are two metal pegs that have a little lip on them and thats where you are getting the resistance. Hope this helps.

My Toyota Sienna 2000 has

Obtained from the following link: http://www.siennachat.com/forum/16-general-discussion/58-2-ways-fix-sienna-power-door-problem.html 2 ways to fix a Sienna power door problem Just wanted to share my success with 2 ways I fixed my wife's power door: 1. Clean the track, using soap and water...for real tough grease/oil, use lite acetone and wipe as to not destroy the paint. Then, I used low temperature grease (no, it does not "melt" even in the FL sun!) on the tracks, joints, latch areas, guides, etc. Finally, clean the seals (between the rubber and the door jam) then "armor-all" the heck out of it....this worked for me for several years....toyota told me to replace it 5 yrs ago for $600! 2. I found this thread and tried it today, works so far...http://www.fixya.com/cars/t595343-ne...nna_power_door ....if the link does not come up, here's the nutshell: Turn the power door control button to the off position (where you can't see the red on the button). Disconnect the - battery cable for a minute or so. Reconnect, and then turn the system back on with the same button. Open the door and see if it worked. Thats the pricedure for 'recalibrating' the system.

Tried to start toyota sienna xle, barely started

Check the oil, the low oil sensor will disable the ignition if more than a quart low. When on vacation (touring) , check oil often. Pumping the gas pedal with modern fuel injection will not flood the engine, it does not work that way.

Broken Hood Release

Hello There

In short no there isn't, however it's most likely your plastic release lever is broken and not the metal cable, you need to open the cover over the release lever, there will be a cable you can pull using a gripper and it will release the bonnet, you can easily replace the plastic llever and it's reletively cheap.

Hope this helps, please don't forget to rate me.

2003 toyota sienna wont start sometimes But does

its not getting gas, is that a guess? or the results of a real test. as per FSM book.? the only test that proves not getting gas, is all spark plugs out and all are white and dry. (NOT GETTING GAS to the combustion chambers) i think its flooding (sparks wet) and all cars clear floods, with wide open throttle cranking, (A feature) this magic feature, cuts all fuel cranking, to clear said flood. (oper, guide covers this) if this works, ever consider a full tuneup? this decade? with filters? if tuned up, then scan it to see if there are DTC errors cranking? check for spark , during failures. ? check for flooding? spark good,! there are many causes of flooding, (spark good, tuned up)
  • too high fuel pressure
  • injectors leaking
  • fuel regulator bad.
  • no air supply starting, bad IAC STUCK CLOSED,
Try starting with 5% throttle ,creating a good human made, IAC, (fresh air) each line has tests we do,, if you dont have tools, all this is just water under the bridge. do you want guessing (unsaid) here:
  1. never tuned up.
  2. too high fuel pressure and flooding.
  3. and many more. i just rolled dice 2 times.

What causes the cqr to not start at random times but after resting a few minutes it will start?

If you turn the key and only hear a clicking sound and engine doesnt turn then it could be the starter motor sellinoid that needs replacing. First check battery for correct voltage. OR If the starter gets hot, and turns the engine slowly, the it (starter) brushes and armature could be finished and damaged. Starter then needs an overhall or replacement.
