take it down to a local shop, and get them to put a scanner on it.
It'll show why the light is coming on, and from there you can decide what you need to do to fix the problem.
push and hold clear button, you will hear a chime and display will show clear, continue holding button and service will pop up and chime again. thats it
Yes... it's the immobilizer system p1805:
Inconsistent data of EEPROM• Invalid write operation to EEPROM• Not plausible immobilizer indicator stored in the ECM• No valid data from SMARTRA after 3 attempts by ECM• Invalid tester message or unexpected requests by testerGo to http://www.hmaservice.com/ and register. You'll have access to lots of info (technical and otherwise) about your vehicle.
WHAT YOU DO IS GET IN THE CAR. CLOSE THE DOOR. THEN PUT KEY IN POSITION 2 WHICH MEANS TURN THE KEY ONCES THEN TWICE RIGHT BEFORE STARTING. OK THEN PRESS THE RESET BUTTON ON THE CLUSTER TWICE AND THEN HOLD IT(SHOULD BE A LITTLE "R" BUTTON ON THE CLUSTER) WHILE STILL HOLDING THE BUTTON SWITCH THE KEY OFF THEN BACK TO POSITION 2. CONTINUE HODLING UNTIL IT BEEPS AND SHOWS NEXT SERVICE 10,000
the 1st thing to do is find out which of the over 125 trouble codes is stored in the computers memory, go to any Kragen or Autozone they will test the system for free.
