SOURCE: 98 celica battery went dead replaced now it want crank

Try this: Unhook the battery. Reconnect the battery. When the horn starts to beep, cycle the ignition key in the ignition on-off 5 times. This resets the alarm; the cycling of the key. Please advise me if this works for you.

This is a Direct Fault Caused by the Alarm System Starter Kill. Do you have an Alarm Override Switch???? You may need the Dealership to Reset the Alarm if not.

Replaced head gaskets on 2002 aztek i started it with charger on disconnected charger it died . now wont start got fuel at rail got spark security light never comes on

Sounds like the battery is dead and the alternator is not putting out power. The truck runs off the alternator after it starts. The battery is just there to start the truck. Try to jump start the truck again and once it is running take the positive cable off the battery and if it stops running you have a problem with the alternator.

Wont crank, running hot, heater blows cold air

Hi Angela. it sounds like you have a belt proble causing your alternator to not charge your battery AND your water pump and fan to not cool properly. Inspect your belts first. If you have more questions please ask me!

Sounds like you blew a head gasket or even worse. Get a pressure tester from your local parts store and pressure the system up. Most of the time I've found bad intake gasket and the bypass elbows bad. Parts don't cost much but takes a few hours to fix.

i think you may have not put the timing right if you have changed the head gasket or removed the timing, make sure all timing is lined up on timing marks cams and the crank. adjust till they line up using piston number one as top dead. turn engine by hand (spanner on crank) and make sure they line up each time it goes to top dead on number 1.

The fuel pump pressure shoud be 55-61 psi . Check for spark by removing a ignition wire at a spark plug and put a spark plug in wire and hold to engine ground and crank engine , if no spark then remove coil wire at cap and repeat. If still no spark then coil , module,,crank sensor or pickup may be the problem.
Check fuel pump pressure first and if available check for codes for possible crank sensor.

Car turns over but does not start. Battery good

If it over heated, could have bad head gasket's, fill radiator with water, crank engine with radiator cap off, if water is push out of radiator while cranking, bad head gaskets', also remove spark plug's, crank engine if any water, bad head gasket, also when spark plug's removed, check for any water on them.If there is any water on plug's, bad head gasket, also could try doing a cylinder compression test, if bad compression, head gasket, no compression, wont start that way.

My Alero keeps pushing the antifreeze back up and out where I poured it in. I changed the thermostat. But that did not help. What could it be? Thanks, Marlon

If you got the car hot you may have blown the head gasket especially if it's pushing it out whlie it's cold. Is there white smoke coming out wile cranking the engine? Is the water coming out while cranking the engine? I would say theres a good chance you blew the head gasket.

2001 Kia Sportage won't crank.

It sounds like the timing was set incorrectly when the head/head gasket was replaced. The engine won't turn over very well if the Valves are smashing the Piston Heads. I would suggest trying to turn over the engine yourself while it is in neutral. Just connect a socket to the harmonic balancer, and use a big cheater pipe. If you can feel something stopping the engine from turning, then the timing was set incorrectly.

Can you put a socket and ratchet or breaker bar on the damper bolt,, Can you turn the engine over at all?? that is the big bolt on the pulley where the crank is. If you cannot budge the engine, then it is seized up more than likely and the bearings have melted to the crank.
