Hi, When I start the car there is a squeaking from the engine which sounds like it is rotating. This often stops after driving for 15 mins. Had the belts checked and they are fine. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks JP
It is possible you have a glazed belt - it is fine, it just slips until it warms up. If you have "V" belts, there is a belt dressing you can spray on that will cure the problem. If you have serpentine belts ( a wide belt that has several ribs on the inside ) you can us a small dab of Dielectric grease on the belt. smear a small dab across the ribs of the belt ans start the engine - the squeal should go away quickly.
Hope this helps!
SOURCE: check engine light came on while engine was off, but ignition on
It might be the battery, check the voltage somewhere for instance in AutoZone store (they do it for free)

Sounds like it is your Idle Air Control valve. The IAC is located on the throttle body and is normally held on with a couple of screws. Normally I tell people to just replace them because they are relatively cheap but it isn't for your car so I would suggest that you take the part of and soak it in some throttle body cleaner. Let the part air dry and if you have it blow some compressed air in it to dry it very good before you put it back on the car. There is a 99% chance this will get your car running normally again. Please let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks for using FixYa!
