Did you actually check for voltage with a test light or digital multimeter? Did you check the ground circuit? I don't know much about your particular vehicle, but, the basics are the same, voltage and ground. The diagram doesn't say aux, but, the basics are there.

I can suggest try cleaning the earth connection from body to engine. good luck.

Usually is a tiny switch or button inside the door jamb on the actual door.

It is possible you have a glazed belt - it is fine, it just slips until it warms up. If you have "V" belts, there is a belt dressing you can spray on that will cure the problem. If you have serpentine belts ( a wide belt that has several ribs on the inside ) you can us a small dab of Dielectric grease on the belt. smear a small dab across the ribs of the belt ans start the engine - the squeal should go away quickly. fit the cheap chinese ones ,as good as anything .here in spain they crack on the sidewalls before they wear out so i use the cheapies ,mine are 16s but 98W speed rating ,expensive for a clapped out XJ6 1994 4.lt that only goes to the costa blanca jaguar owners meetings.
