Double check the ignition wires. It is easy to reverse a pair of wires by accident when they are being replaced and it will run as you describe.

Here are a few things to check that aren't that exspencive to do. check you'r o2 scener and the map scencer.try tapping on the cadiletice convertor to see if can hear any rattling if there is any rattliling the cadiletice converter could be clogged and will need to be replaced. You can also have the emission control module tested to see if it working properly.

SOURCE: my car starts to shake after about 35-45 mph

rack and pinion is the steering wheel joint, so if the steering wheel shakes or handling has decreased, then i would say it is the rp. , also check the wear on the tires for uneven wear, it could be alignment, does the steering pull to one side? it could be motor mounts just find the bolts and check em wiht a torque wrench, also inspect mounting bushings as well. to check trans. give it alot of gas to get past 35-45 mph and the shaking should go away at higher speeds, if it doesnt then its the trans missing "third".

SOURCE: My Engine mounts keep braking.

Okay, you either have to get some really expensive aftermarket motor and transmission mounts, or go with OEM from dealer. I did both. you MUST make sure you follow the Haynes or Chilton's manual on setting the engine and transmission at the right degree of rotation, then tighten all anchor bolts to 89 ft-lbs.... i did this and it reduced my vibration tremendously.

If your intredid need motor mounts, would that cause your car to shake like the wheels were all loose

probably not. It will allow the engine to move at idle and they are easy to check. IT the car shakes like the wheels are loose especially around 40-50 mph the you have a wheel alignment problem (Castor wobble). Have the front suspension checked and have a wheel alignment done.

Car shakes when idling'

Well this could be caused by a number of things. But the most common cause is an "engine miss." You could have 1 cylinder that has stopped firing. This will cause a very rough idle and very possibly shake or shudder whenever you accelerate. Another cause may be a main "vacuum hose could be disconnected" from it's port. Vacuum leaks cause engine shake at idle. Check for loose, cracked, or disconnected vacuum hoses under the hood. The third and least likely cause is a "broken or worn motor mount". If the engine is not securely held down in place by all the motor mounts, it will vibrate excessively and cause a shake at idle. The engine miss and motor mount problems are 2 issues best left to a professional to tackle. But as I said, you could tackle the vacuum leak issue yourself by checking under the hood. Hope this helps, good luck!

Needs fuse box location and car idles rough

Fuse box is behind the soft panel under your steering wheel. Is your check engine light flashing or on? Would be a misfire causing the rough idle if it is flashing. A possible bad coil. If its just a shake with no check engine light then it could just be a motor mount.

I have a 1994 with vortec 4.3 that shakes sometimes

Shakes how? While stopping? Or solely while idle, Engine light on?

If if shakes while stopping you need to check you're wheel hubs and or Suspension ,

Shakes at a light, You may have a bad fuel Injector, Check you're psi in you're fuel pump, A TPS would cause low idle or sometimes high idle, With low idle and a bad motor mount it would shake,

I know theres a few things I'm missing but,.. I have a major Headache atm so I'll get back to you with some more, when i can think better. :)

Car kicks back and forth when idling or the gas is applied

It sounds like you have some broken motor mounts under the hood and one of the main ones that break on those models is the torque strut. When my torque strut was bad in my car the car would jolt when I shifted the gears and it would shimmy when it was idling. I would get your motor mounts checked to see if thats the issue and if its not it may be a motor issue such as a misfire which can couse the motor to backfire and idle rough when its misfiring. I hope this works!!!
