What do you mean "rooted" ?
Generally if a manual transmission is stuck in gear it points to one or several of 6 possibilities ( barring any damage to hard parts such as gears or shafts.)
1: Damaged shift linkage.
2: Worn clutch.
3: Faulty clutch slave cylinder.
4: Damaged fork assembly.
5: Damaged synchronizers.
6: Bad throwout bearing.

Be prepared for sticker shock when pricing repairs or parts !
Mazdas are not cheap to buy parts for or to work on.
( thats why I will never own one )

Fixing speedometer

Try Mazda spares and check as the gears ratio's will be different for each model but the gear itself may still fit in your car. There are ratio change gear boxes from speed shops . These fit onto your gear box and the cable / sender unit fits onto it . The ratios are changed inside the little adaptor.

hi.
if it leaking that fast, it sound like you have a damaged seal.
i would not recommend adding more oil as it will probably come out even faster when you are driving.
the safest option would be to tow the car to the garage, or even better, have it trailered in.

Sounds like oil on the clutch plate lining, burned or glazed facings. Could be worn or loose engine or transmission mounts. Sometimes it is worn splines on clutch plat hub or a warped pressure plate or flywheel.

hi from the uk you should have car serviced or diy the service oil/filter spark plugs etc however !from the symptoms you have described re jerks when setting off in 1st then i would suspect that your problem is more likely an engine mounting has collapsed/parted from its mounting to chassis ? these are what are called metalastic rubber mounts and do come apart with age thus allowing engine to tilt back and forth as you take up drive and cause **** that you experience ? may i suggest you ask local tyre/exhaust depot or garage to check mountings for you not just visibly but physically not normally charged for here in uk but if you wish to diy mounting? suggest you read/borrowed or purchase a manual you can change these mounts diy not too difficult and save$$$s on garage fee ? the mount that is prone to failure is the one nearest radiator at front of car and positioned at where engine connects to g/box if you gently raise engine at this point with block of wood and jack the mounting will lift off if broken hope this helps please come back with update or if you req more help / info ?
