Brake lights and reverse lights work
SOURCE: No tail lights
Try checking the headlight switch it may have broken contacts in it. Easy fix go to a salvage yard find same make and model truck, swap headlight switches.

test and replace the brake light switch, it is located at the top of the arm the brake pedal is attached to.

most likely a fuse and check the bulbs to the rear running lights if after this don't clear the issue one of the 2 filaments have most likely blown

It sounds like you have two separate switch problems, brake light switch located at the top of the brake pedal arm, loose or broke, and the back-up light switch located on transmission or linkage depending on transmission type. When asking questions always give as much info as possible.
