Window crank broke on my 91 buick lasabre. How do I get door panel off to fix?

Check the battery cables and load test the battery to be sure of its health .

coulb be the control switch on your panel you can take the door panel off and check for loose connections and try to test for continuity. if you dont know how take it to a shop and have them diagnose the electrical. im quite sure it the switch that burnt out

Its the window regulator thats broke. Most are made with plastic brackets and cable. The plastic breaks and the cable goes nuts then nothing is holding the window. You need to get a regulator, if you can take the door panel off you should be able to handle installing the window regulator.

yes there are bolts inside the door panel arm rest you have to take it off

First the door panel must be removed,then you can tell what part is broken.It will probably be the window trac assy.To replace that you must drill out the 3/16 rivets that hold it in and then replacethem with 1/4 -20 bolts on re-assembly.

Make sure the switch itself isn't bad. Pull the power window control assembly. I think there is a clip in one end that you push and the panel pops out. The switches are interchangeable so just swap one of the GOOD ones for the driver's switch and see what happens.
If you have to remove the panel, go to O'Reilly's or AutoZone and get a door panel removal tool. This will pop the plastic clips around the door panel. You may break a few but replacements are at the Auto store also. If I remember right, there are 2 large screws that secure the armrest to the door. Might be hidden under a plastic trim plate. BE CAREFUL plastic breaks. Good Luck

You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. If needed, you can pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything inside the door

well i dont haVe that preoblem, you cant expect things to be free, the problem i had was the window will stay up or down sometimes but with a little force it works maybe someone spilled coffee or something on it, just dont slam your doors or pull them shut too hard

if you havent fixed it yet, see if you can slap a tiny bolt/nut in the hole to hold it down, if that doesnt work, you can always just leave it alone
