All controls run through the master control unit which is on the driver side u might need to replace the unit which controls all of the windows and lock...check this link outhttp://www.amazon.com/2004-2010-OEM-Colorado-Control-Chevrolet/dp/B0030KVA3S
Power motor gear is probably stripped if you can still hear motor turning when switch is pressed... If motor fails to turn when switch is pressed more than likely motor is bad
Check for a broken or frayed wire between the door and body of the truck. If there is one, it would cause this type of situation.
You could also have a bad master switch. if that's the case here's a video that will show you how to replace it.

I have exactly the same problem - drivers side power window and both power door locks don't work. Passengers side power window works from both switches. Also a 2005 Colorado.
Same problem on a 2006 Colorado crew cab. Drivers side window is stuck down (all other windows work fine) and auto lock mechanism does not work on any door. MarkC
Sam here, Door locks don't work on either side. Pass window works for either side. Driver window does not work.
I have the same problem. Driver's side power window doesn't work and
the power door locks dont work on all doors. Happened about a week ago
and checked fuses (pulled and replaced) and pulled and replaced the
controls off the driver's side door. All of a sudden they started
working. The same thing happened today as well as a dead battery.
Unable to get them to operate.
