Loation of air filter on 2005 c 2404matic

The air filters are located within the engine cover. You need to pop the cover off and access the bottom of the cover. There are 8 20 torx bolts. The cabin filter is located in the rear engine compartment on the pass side over the battery. It is held in by 3 clips.

Replace air filter: 1 C240 uses two small filters, not one. 2 remove air hoses 3 lift off very front of cover 4 loosen at clips in front of rest of cover 5 GENTLY remove cover (plastic!)
6 flip over and loosen four screws from air filter cover on each side 7 (these loosen but do not come out all the way) 8 switch out new for old filters 9 reverse procedure to finish the job.


Note: screws require a T-wrench
