Tire size for mitsubishi outlander

My 2006 Outlander came standard with tires 225/60 R16. I would like a slightly taller tire. I was told by local tire shop that changing tire size would affect vehicles computer. Is this true? I was thinking of installing 225/65 R16 or 225/70 R16. Another tire shop told me that 225/65 R16 is a lower profile tire. Is this true? I always thought that first number is width, second is height and third is wheel size.

I Have a Toyota Sienna LE 2006 with tires 215/65/R16, can I replace them with tires 225/65/r16?

A cheaper route and one that would keep your speedometer more accurate would be 215/70R/16. Slightly taller, less footprint, but more accurate and true to your actual speed.

My 2004 Mitsubishi Outlander shakes when I go over 60MPH

It is probably out of alignment either that or your tires need to be balanced. Neither of these are major problems. Take it to your nearest tire shop.

Can I install bigger tires on Mitsubishi Outlander?

the 225 is the sidewall size, the height of the side wall. I also have the same vehicle with a low-profile tire, I know there is not a lot of room in there to go much taller if any. I do see where there could be a problem with the computer but it's a computer it should be able to be re calibrated.
