E350 v10 econoline

I have a motorhome mounted on a e350 v10 econoline chasis. Lately when I go out after about 2 hours of driving, I lose throttle response. The engine does not die, but it drops to idle. If it does die when I try to accelerate, it start up right away, but does not rev and when I put it in gear, it may stall and die. It does not activate the check engine light and when I took it to the local Ford Service Center, they found no service codes and could not diagnos a problem.

You did not say what year the truck chassis is, so I will give a generic answer.
If the throttle position sensor was at fault, the computer should set a trouble code. So if there are no codes, I would question the fuel pressure or venting in the tank. Fuel pressure could drop off to just enough to keep the engine running but not have enough to rev up. Or the pressure vent valve in the tank may not be working and the tank could be building up a vac. Its also possible the fuel filter is clogged up enough to restrict fuel pressure or volume.
You would need to check base fuel pressure and the condition of the gas tank when the problem occurs which could be tough to do on the road. You could take the gas cap off and see if it will rev up to check the venting. That will probably turn the check engine light on due to the tank being open with the engine running.

Testimonial: "Stephen, Thanks. It is a 1997. I will try your suggestions when I go out next week about the gas cap. I had a new fuel filter put in last summer and still had the problem after that. I am not sure where a throttle position sensor is on this model, I know it is not on the gas pedal."

SOURCE: Truck losing power and service engine soon light on

Like to other guy said, give it a tuneup. Also try SEAFOAM to clean carb up of slug. Also check to make sure the butter fly for the choke has not come loose, causing it the choke it down. Failed choke pull-off.

Check Engine light is on. Find out what DTC (diagnostic trouble code) is set and I can help you more. You can get a code puller from your local parts store.

Why 1989 ford econoline 350 motorhome has 2 batteries

Typically if the batteries are in the engine compartment they are for the engine. There are usually a bank of remote batteries located in an access panel in the R/V body.

I have a 1990 jayco motorhome that is powered by a Ford f-350 econoline with a 460 ci motor. I need to know which fuse is for the cruise control?

I would guess a 1990 E350 Econoline Van Owner Manual would have the chart. ISn't it on the fuse panel cover?

If you have no luck, let me know and I will try to search my archieves.
