I checked the voltage from the wire and it's only 9 volts. i opened the mechanism and put it to the wire and pressed the keyfob tho motor moves a little bit..i think it was on the supply voltage.. the motor cannot push the lock/unlock button because the supply voltage is low.. but why the supply is low..i really need help.. i searched for the wiring diagram on this but i can't find...

I have the same problem. This is a faulty actuator switch according to GMC which controls the tailgate and the hatch window. My 2006 has 90,000 miles on it (I purchased new). Warranty is not an option and cost is estimated @ $600.00 in Arizona. As far as I am concerned, it is safety related issue and should be a recall since there isn't a mechanical way to open the tailgate or window as an escape route in the event of failure.

The best way to get a good diagram would be to get a haynes book from an autoparts store. They often lend them out for a small deposit. Depending on the motor i could give more information.

The Actuator is not functioning anymore, check to see if there is a fuse for it first. If that is ok then remove the actuator and test it outside using some wire and your car battery to see if actually moves or doesent this will tell you if you need a replacement.

Could be the latch mechanism for the door is sticking. You could try using some white grease on the latch and the contact where the latch hooks to. You can purchase the grease from most auto parts stores. You will not need to use alot. Just apply a small amount to the mechanisim and then work it in using the manual handle. Then open and close the door several times to feel the "action". Then apply a little more and repeat. This should loosen the latch and get it working again. Also make sure that none of the tension springs have come loose on the latch. And check the seal around the door and make sure it is not pinched and has a proper fit.

Hi raymondmader, I want to help you with your question, but I need more information from you. Can you please add details in the comment box? Are you measuring the voltage with the lock disconnected? The only way for the volage to be low would be a load on the circuit. The diagrams are available at autozone.com.
