Mid vents does not work either. she does heat on high.it is a fuse of what?

I have the same problem and this was due to the air supply under the bonnet of the car. You have to release the plasticcover just below the screenwipers pull out the airfilter (it is a bit narrow so be carefull with your hand). Behind the airfilter there is a flap. In my case this flap is down, which cloes the airstream. OPen this flap by moving it upwards and lock it there with tape or something and the problem is solved. The only thing is that you can not close the air inlet with the button on your dashboard, but at least the major problem is solved.

SOURCE: 1996 Jaguar XJ6 heater does not heat. It just blows cold air...
All cars have what is called a heater matrix , this car has, it is inside the car behind the dash, the purpose is to provide heat in side the car, if the car is running at normal operating temp you thermostat is ok, the heater in the car is known as a heater matrix and will block up due to lack of use as water on passing throu when you have the heat on in side the car , hence the water leaves risidual that blocks it, if you keep a good level of antifreze/summer coolant in the systym it will prevent this, it is also the first palce to be affected when you lose water from the cooling systym, i will foward the detail how to clean it out, as removal is very labour intensive,

Probably the heater control valve, had same issue, started with one side not hot, then erratic, hot then cold while heat is set to hot, now both side are cold to lukewarm. diagnosed as heater control valve, common for jag s-types and x-types. located on the passenger side, down low the side of the radiator, it has several hoses into and out of valve, and a electrical connector.

my car has not overheated in my 2004 jag. Just condensation on windows Defrost works find. No flow on the floor or mid area vents. Also I did not have flow in summer either from mid or floor for Ac. Just top blows i defrost. blacbro where is this location for the for the bonnet and screenwiper filter. This sounds like it could be the problem because my air conditioner in the summer blew only from defrost area?
